"Representatives of many Sydney theatrical groups attended a funeral service at Christ Church, Springwood on July 14.
They were paying tribute to the late Miss Linda Horne of Faulconbridge, who died in Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney on July 9. Miss Horne, 35-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Horne, of Parkes Crescent, had been actively interested in the theatre since the family arrived in Australia from England in 1958. In recent years, although often ill, she had had a number of lead roles. The service at Christ Church, conducted by the rector, Rev. J. Bomford, was attended by representatives of the Old Tote, Independent and Ensemble Theatres, Actors Equity and the Actor's Benevolent Society, as well as local theatre groups."
